From Monday 27 April 2026 to Friday 1 May 2026, Year 11 students will be involved in alternative programs that focus on the students personal development.
2026 Programs - Students will be offered a choice of three different options
Option 1 - Leadership Camp at Maroon Outdoor Education Centre
Students attending the 2026 Maroon Outdoor Education Camp - parents/carers will need to read and complete the forms below:

As a core part of our Year 11 Personal Development Program, (PDP) Year 11 students will experience a week at the Maroon Outdoor Education Centre. An opportunity to immersed themselves in activities designed to build leadership skills, resilience, and teamwork in a stunning outdoor setting.
The camp is targeted at two main groups of students:
those with leadership aspirations (e.g. School Captain, Prefect, Senior Leader and House Captain roles). Except under exceptional circumstances, students will be ineligible for these roles if they do not attend camp, and
those who, despite not wanting a leadership role, have a positive, enthusiastic attitude and want to challenge themselves and improve as an individual.
Leadership Camp at Maroon Outdoor Education Centre - Numbers will be capped and places will be allocated in order of the QParents consent being received.
Students will be invoiced once consent has been received. Cost - TBA
Option 2 - Year 11 Work Experience
Students can gain real-world experience in a workplace aligned with their interests and career goals. All work experience placements are coordinated by an external provider who ensures all compliance and legislation requirements, including Workplace Health and Safety, are met and is the only available option for selecting a placement.
Estimated cost: $200 (covers placement coordination and is not refundable following formal registration).

Option 3 - School-Based

Life Skills Program- How to Adult 101

All other students will remain on campus and will take part in a program focused on practical life skills and preparation for adult life.
Further details will be provided in 2026. These options are designed to provide flexibility and ensure that every student can participate in an experience that is both meaningful and valuable to their personal development.
