Year 11 Personal Development Programs

​​​​​​From Monday 28 April 2025 to Friday 2 May 2025, Year 11 students will be involved in alternative programs that focus on the students personal development.

2025 Programs - Students will be offered a choice of three different options

Option 1  -  Leadership Camp at Maroon Outdoor Education Centre

As a c​ore part of our Year 11 Personal Development Program, (PDP) Year 11 students will experience a week at the Maroon Outdoor Education​ Centre. An opportunity to immersed themselves in activities designed to build leadership skills, resilience, and teamwork in a stunning outdoor setting.

The camp is targeted at two main groups of students:

  • those with leadership aspirations (e.g.​ School Captain, Prefect, Senior Leader and House Captain roles). Except under exceptional circumstances, students will be ineligible for these roles if they do not attend camp, and

  • those who, despite not wanting a leadership role, have a positive, enthusiastic attitude and want to challenge themselves and improve as an individual.

Leadership Camp at Maroon Outdoor Education Centre - ​Numbers will be capped and places will be allocated in order of  the QParents consent being received.
Students will be invoiced once consent has been received.  Cost - $305.00. ​​​​

Option 2  -  Work Experience​

The work experience program provides a formal arrangement where students participate in short term placement with employers who will provide insights into the industry and the workplace in areas the student is interested in. Employers take time to plan and organise activities, tours and provides students with an experience of what it is like in their industry. 

Students can find their own work experience at no cost, or can register with School Community Industry Partnership Service to secure a placement for a fee of $200.00.

Option 3  -  Life Skills Program- How to Adult 101​​

This five- day program tasks the students through a series of life skills. Each topic takes a practical approach and is being delivered by qualified trainers from Adapt Education.

To complete consent forms for your child to attend any of our Year 11 Personal Development Programs you must be registered for QParents. 

​​​If you are not already registered or to check your registration, please use the QParents​ Link to register. This must be updated by Friday 08 November 2024 to receive consents. 

Consent forms for each of these activities will be abled to be accessed in QParents from 9am Friday, 15th November 2024
