Casual Relief Inclusion Teacher Aide (TA)
About the role
As a Casual Relief Inclusion Teacher Aide (TA), you will be contacted when there is either an increase in student support requirements or when a permanent employee is absent on leave. Working as part of a collaborative team with other Inclusive Teacher Aides and teachers, the purpose of this role is to provide support to students requiring substantial and extensive adjustments or disability support. The role assists students to effectively engage in learning opportunities and participate in a wide range of classroom and daily activities. This may include:
• Assisting students with disability and additional needs, including supporting students with mobility, positioning, meals, toileting and dressing where required. • Supporting students who are blind or have low vision to access their classes and learning activities. • Providing in-class support for a range of diverse learners, including students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and physical impairments across subjects such as Mathematics, English, Humanities, HPE and Science. • Assisting students with computer-based tasks to support their learning. • Undertaking playground supervision duties, including supported eating areas and the student transport zone for arrivals and departures. Casual Relief Teacher Aide Hours The span of hours for Inclusion Teacher Aides is generally 8:00am – 3:15pm, Monday to Friday, depending on operational requirements. Casual Relief Cleaner
About the role
As a Casual Relief Cleaner, you will be contacted when additional cleaning support is required or when a permanent employee is absent on leave. Working as part of our collaborative Facilities team, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors.
This may include:
• Performing general cleaning duties across classrooms, offices, amenities and shared areas.
• Cleaning and maintaining facilities to ensure high standards of hygiene and presentation.
• Restocking consumable supplies and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Using cleaning equipment and products safely and in accordance with workplace procedures.
• Working cooperatively with other members of the cleaning team to support the operational needs of the school.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures and maintaining a safe environment for yourself and others.
Casual Relief Cleaner Hours
The span of hours across the week for our Casual Relief Cleaners vary depending on operational requirements and may include morning and/or afternoon cleaning shifts split between 4am – 8am and 2pm to 6pm daily.
