Belonging and differentiation. Specialises in innovative Academies of Excellence in the areas of Academy of Ideas, Netball, Touch Football, Football and Instrumental Music (Jazz) to maximise student’s special talents.
Fostering excellence and challenge. Academies of Excellence enjoy extensive partnerships with The University of Queensland, Griffith University and Queensland University of Technology to ensure Year 7 to University pathway success, through our school based University programs.
21st century skills. Students in Years 7 and 8 study Philosophy, learning how to think critically and creatively and have the opportunity to study Philosophy through to University. Project Based Learning and creative problem solving for 21st century skills.
High Achievement. Year 7 students (approximately 50%) achieved in the Upper Two Bands in all areas of NAPLAN. 70% of students achieve A or B consistently across program and >95%, A-C pass rate.
Globally connected. Years 9, 10 and 11 students are the first in Australia to tour world class Universities in America to pursue post-school scholarship opportunities including Columbia University and New York University. A thriving International Student Program returns dividends back to the school. Global student connections including overseas excursions, altruistic projects and community engagement.
