Resources for Parenting

Triple P Parenting - Provides positive tips that can help any family. There are many simple strategies you can start using right now to make every moment count. There is a range of different types of  triple P programs including teens, anxiety, children with disabilities, separation and divorce. The courses are free and can be done privately online. In person sessions are also available.

Parent Line - Parent line provides free help through counselling, support, information and referral that is tailored to meet individuals' needs. There are free podcasts for parents, carers and grandparents.

Family and Child Connect – If your family is going through tough times, contact for free unlimited and confidential advice. A range of resources are available including information in other languages. Access to a family support worker for parenting challenges.

Cybersafety -   The esafety Commissioner provides information on how to safe guard Australians at risk of online harms to promote a safer and more positive online experience.

Reporting Child Abuse – If you have reason to suspect a child in QLD is experiencing harm or being neglected, contact child safety about your concerns. This link provides phone numbers and the online reporting form.

Headspace - the national youth mental health foundation dedicated to improving the wellbeing of young Australians.

Reach Out Australia   - ReachOut provides practical tools and support to help young people get through everything from everyday issues to tough times.

Kids Help Line   - Kids Helpline is Australia's only free, 24/7 phone and online counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25.

Beyond Blue  - provides information and support to help everyone in Australia achieve their best possible mental health, whatever their age and wherever they live.

LifeLine   - Saving lives - crisis support - suicide prevention. A national charity for anyone experiencing emotional distress.

Bullying No Way   -  Safe Australian Schools together.
