Woolworths Mountain View Supporting Cav Rd Cav Cares Program
Cavendish Road State High School has a long tradition of fostering leadership, compassion, and active citizenship in our students. This year, we are proud to launch Cav Cares – a student-led Homeless Volunteering Program that empowers students to make a real difference in the lives of others.
Building on the success of our annual curriculum-based Homelessness Sleepout, Cav Cares extends this learning beyond the classroom, giving students the opportunity to take meaningful action in their community. Each term, Year 12 students volunteer their time to prepare and serve meals for people experiencing homelessness across Brisbane.
This hands-on initiative would not be possible without the generosity of Woolworths Mt Gravatt Plaza (Mountain View), who proudly donate essential food items that allow our students to create nutritious meals for those in need. Their contribution not only helps feed vulnerable members of our community but also supports our students in developing empathy, teamwork, and social awareness through real-world service.
We sincerely thank Woolworths Mt Gravatt Plaza for their continued support in helping our students turn compassion into action. Together, we are making a positive impact—one meal, and one act of kindness, at a time.
