Year 7 Resilience Camp at PGL Adventure Camps Kindilan
At Cavendish Road State High School, we believe in fostering resilience from the very beginning of your child’s secondary education. As part of our Pastoral Care (PSC) program, all Year 7 students participate in a three-day Resilience Camp at PGL Adventure Camps Kindilan in Redland Bay.
In Term 1, students will attend in two groups:
- Group 1: Monday 2nd to Wednesday 4th, June
- Group 2: Wednesday 4th to Friday 6th, June
Resilience Camp is a compulsory part of our Year 7 program and plays a vital role in preparing students to navigate challenges both at school and in life. Through engaging outdoor activities and teamwork exercises, students will build essential skills in coping, problem-solving, social competence, autonomy, and optimism.
Our key objectives for Resilience Camp are to:
- To offer students and PSC Teachers an opportunity to strengthen learning relationships
- To assist the development of resilience in our students
- To further develop student leadership skills
Important concepts covered on camp and during our wider PSC program will include: coping skills, problem solving, social competence, autonomy and optimism.
Students attending the 2025 Year Camp - parents/carers will need to read and complete the form below:
