Sport at
Cavendish Road State High continues to hold a strong reputation across
Brisbane. An outstanding number of
students have achieved sporting success across the pathways of Metropolitan East Region, Queensland and
Australian School Sport through a
variety of sports including; Football, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Touch,
Tennis, Basketball, Netball, Hockey, Softball, Baseball, Athletics, Cross
County, AFL, Swimming and Triathlon.
Throughout Semester 1 and Term 3, opportunities exist for all students
aged 12-19 years to trial for various sports at the school representative
level. This year (2026), we have moved into a new district structure. Our school is now part of the new Mt Gravatt District for students aged 12 - 19 years.
Students wanting to trial for Metropolitan
East Region must progress through the district sport pathway. Notice of all sports trials are advertised
across Cavendish Road through various communication platforms, such as student
notices, parades, sports noticeboard and email.
All trials involve official district paperwork that includes the
Principal Approval to attend. Students
cannot trial without this paperwork.
