The study of mathematics is central to the learning, development and prospects of all young Australians.
Years 7-9
In years 7-10 Mathematics provides students with essential mathematical knowledge, skills, procedures and processes in number, algebra, measurement, space, statistics and probability. It develops the numeracy capabilities that all students need in their personal, work and civic lives, and provides the fundamentals on which mathematical specialties and professional applications of mathematics are built.
Year 10
In Year 10 students are offered the opportunity select a subject that is aligned with the Senior General subjects offered in Year 11 and 12.
- Foundation Maths – School designed subject to prepare students for the study of Essential Mathematics in Year 11 and 12.
- General Maths – Follows the Year 10 Australian Curriculum.
- Mathematical Methods – Follows the Australian Curriculum Year 10 plus optional content.
- Specialist Mathematics – School designed subject to prepare students for the study of Specialist in Year 11 and 12. This is optional single semester companion subject for those studying Methods.
Year 11 and 12
The Year 11 and 12 curriculum studies offers both General and Applied subjects.

- Specialist Mathematics
All General subjects offer an ATAR pathway. A grade of A or B standard in Year 10 Methods Prep is highly recommended for Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics in Year 11 and 12.
